Electronic Newspapers.

The local or regional newspaper consortium publishes a daily for Ashland, Wisconsin and  weekly e-publications for the surrounding small towns.  I found the following in today’s offering –

It is quite apparent that the editorial staff is unclear on the concept of editorial cartoons.  Or possibly this is an inside joke amongst the staff and resident’s of Ashland, Wisconsin.

And the statist media continues to wonder why no one takes them seriously.

Wisconsin Election Recount.

This morning I went to observe our local county election recount, instigated by Green Party Candidate, Jill Stein.  Some photos follow.  The recount was held at the Bayfield County Courthouse Annex.  We as Observer’s were provided with appropriate name tags.  The photo at the bottom here is Scott S. Fibert, Bayfield County Clerk, speaking with one of the four teams tasked with performing the recount.

You know this and are aware of this right?

I know that you’re smart enough to be aware, that the only green that Green Party Candidate Jill Stein is interested and concerned about is…

One hundred dollar bills in the shape of a heart isolated on white background The love of money

I knew that you were smart enough.

At this point I’m not sure if the Cheese curds are being offered or not.  Thankfully the closest McDonalds is 25+ Miles away and there is no pressing need to go try them out.

Thanksgiving Dinner

We had this fellow greet us when we went for our Thanksgiving dinner today.

Turkey Dinner, Turkey Marketing.

screenshot_1The day before Thanksgiving and I ran across this today.  I was looking for an option for us for our Thanksgiving dinner.  As it’s just the two of us we determined that buying all the Thanksgiving fixings didn’t make much sense.  So we began to look for a restaurant alternative.

And as luck would have it we found a good place and at a good price.  Just to see what other options might be available, I checked one of the local businesses to see if they were going to be offering a Thanksgiving dinner.  As today is nearly the end of November, I was met with the graphic above.

Looking for clues, I presume dinner at this location is not an option.  I realize that in this is a resort area and currently it is the off season and yet a business hasn’t updated their website in four months.  Really?  Someone, somewhere withing the organization isn’t paying attention.
