Working in Evernote.

Working in Evernote, like many other applications on the web can result in a love-hate

relationship with the app.  That’s where I find myself today.

I like making use of the app and its saving abilities for things on the web.  When it comes to deleting saved items it is an entirely another story.  There doesn’t appear to be any ability within Evernote to bulk delete previously saved notes.

Turning to google search to find an answer returns several options for bulk deleting of saved notes, none of which work for me.  This is 2017, so how hard can this be?  Are the developers at Evernote not paying attention?  Has no one else, ever wanted or desired to bulk delete saved notes within their Evernote app?

Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

I have the free version of the note taking app Evernote. I’ve had the app for a while and I like it.

I’m currently running Evernote Version 5.0.0 (400539) which has a great user interface. Evernote prides itself on being able to, “Capture Anything,” “Access Anywhere,” and to, “Find Things Fast.” And they are true to their statements.

I make use of Evernote for mental files, as I think of story ideas and such. I also use it as a tool to clip and save web links and other story topics that I want to consider or pursue. I have more than 70 notes in two notebooks. Yes I should have them broken down a bit more and for now this works for me.

With the recent update of Evernote, I’m suddenly unable to delete a note. This is my drop down menu option,

While “Delete” is listed there isn’t the option to make use of the function. I’m not sure why this oversight on the part of Evernote, and it greatly reduces the functionality of the app for me. While checking the Evernote User Forum I’ve found that I’m not alone in having this issue. The lack of a delete function has been raised by several posting in the forum area.

Hopefully the developers will soon correct this oversight.
