With plenty of daily activities including hiking and biking, golf, stand-up paddle boarding and miniature golf, a Keystone vacation can stretch for days with plenty of outdoor recreation, a vibrant Village and fantastic dining options.

Fourth of July Ignites at Keystone Resort
America’s Birthday celebration will kick-off at Keystone’s Lakeside Village with the annual fishing derby. Children 13 and younger are invited to try their hand at fishing in Keystone’s gorgeous five-acre lake, while the rest of the family can enjoy an entertaining morning of cheering on the participants in this free activity. Following the fun at the lake the Children’s Bike Parade, a Keystone tradition, will take place in River Run Village. Kids of all ages will be provided with a complimentary bike decorating kit before taking off for a lap around the Village. Parents and guests can line the parade route cheering and enjoying the festive Holiday merriment.

The 4th of July wouldn’t be complete without a barbecue, and the Edgewater Grill will do all the work, letting Keystone guests relax and enjoy the mouthwatering goods while taking in the views of Lakeside Village. The grill will be fired up from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, giving guests the chance to grab some delicious grub before pedaling over to Keystone’s bike-in movie.

Keystone Resort is making sure that singles also enjoy Valentine’s Day fun this year with the Love On The Liftsintroduction of “Love on the Lifts” gondola speed dating. Singles can jump on an 11-minute gondola speed date, with the chance to reconnect that evening at a Valentine’s Day party hosted at 9280’ Tap House. The dating fun gets started at 10:00a.m. at the River Run gondola. A “single, singles” line will be set up, playing on the industry norm of a singles line at lifts for those skiing or riding alone. Once they arrive at the summit of Dercum Mountain, participants can choose to continue the date by skiing/riding Keystone’s nearly 3000 acres of open terrain, which has seen 8” of natural snowfall in the last week. The moment can also be marked with a photo from Keystone’s EpicPhoto team, which will also allow daters to reconnect on social media with EpicMix technology. For those that want to reconnect later in the day, Keystone’s signature après spot, 9280’ Tap House in River Run Village, will host a party from 4:00p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Keystone’s partners are also sharing the love, with Keystone Sports offering 50% off demo ski and snowboard rentals on Valentine’s Day. Skiers and riders can fall in love with the latest technology while enjoying Keystone’s diverse terrain offerings, which include long groomers, bumps and trees and the award-winning A51 Terrain Park. The resort’s $5 Outback cat shuttle is also open with convenient access to powder-filled bowl skiing. Skiers and riders can take advantage of the 50% offer at any Keystone Sports location, or reserve equipment at least 24 hours in advance online at

For those that have already found love, Keystone Resort offers plenty of ways to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. Whether it is a romantic dinner at The Alpenglow Stube or Der Fondue Chessel, a special Chandon Sparkling Flight Tasting at The Ski Tip, voted best place for a date, proposal or anniversary celebration in Summit County, or the very special Champagne and Chocolate Indulgence treatment at the Keystone Spa, including a 50-minute customized massage, facial and pedicure, all enjoyed with a glass of champagne and decadent chocolate truffle, Keystone has romantic options for every style and budget.

Resort lodging deals for Valentine’s Day include Keystone’s Play for Free package, starting at just $219, which includes free night skiing on day of arrival, free Nordic trail fee and free ice rink admission. Christmas Break for Podcasters.

It’s a “Christmas Break for Podcasters.” looking at my podcast list in iTunes.

The only up to date on if from Mac OS Ken and that is simply a New Years greeting. I guess it’s time once again to clean out and update my list of podcasts.

I do like the ones I’ve got listed and yet these folks are falling behind in their content creation. I might even settle for some, “Best Of,” shows. Or how about putting together a topical show?

There now I’m falling back into my former life as a Radio DJ and Radio Show producer. Where does it say that just because it’s the Christmas holiday’s, that people simply stop listening to their iPods or other mobile devices? Anyone…anyone?

Ok, tomorrow starts a new year and I expect things to be brought back up to speed.
