Last night I was in attendance at the Colorado Macintosh Users Group, CoMUG, meetup, in Boulder. I hadn’t been to one of their meetings in a number of years, but a friend had said I would enjoy the meeting, so off I went. I had forgotten how unique User Group meetings are, and what an eclectic group of people attend these events.

The CoMUG meeting is a very well run event, with the evening having two presentations. Of course at some point during the evening the conversation turned to an apparent favourite topic of those gathered, that being their beloved iPhones. The conversation covered a variety of topics about the iPhone, and people sharing their not only their trials and tribulations as well as their successes. The conversation then turned to those gathered sharing some of the applications they have and use on their iPhones. No one happened to share the Drinkspiration app, that my friend and mobile marketing maven, Kim Dushinski posted today. What I found most interesting and informative during the entire discussion is that no one mentioned that they ever used their iPhone to make or receive phone calls.
